MadTrace: errors and performance
Each error and each recorded performance transaction counts as one event. When you reach the quota, MadTrace stops recording until next month or until you add a pack. No surprise bill.

Questions about pricing
What exactly is a Ship Pass?
A one-time payment of $149 that unlocks everything for one project, forever: unlimited tables, code download, SSH deploy, Git push, MadTrace, multi-tenant, the AI agent with your own key, MCP Gateway and Embed Chat. There is no renewal. Build for free, and buy the pass when the project is ready to ship. If you build for clients, it fits in the quote.
Ship Pass or Unlimited?
Count your projects. Three Ship Passes cost $447, once. From the fourth project in a year, Unlimited ($599 per developer, per year) costs less and adds team permissions in the Manager.
What does "lifetime" mean in Founders Lifetime?
For as long as MadBuilder is offered, including every future version, with no renewal. The batch has 200 developer licenses and will not be repeated at this price: if there is a next batch, it costs $1,499. And if MadBuilder ever stops, your systems keep running, because each one is a standard Laravel project you already have.
Why is there no monthly plan?
Because the code is yours from the first download, and a monthly plan would let anyone take everything for the price of one month. So we went the other way: pay once per project, or once forever with Founders. The only monthly product is the Mad Coding Plan, which is the AI you use every day.
How much does the AI cost? Can I use my own key?
Every paid plan runs the AI agent with your own API key (BYOK). In that case we charge nothing for the AI and you pay the provider directly. If you would rather not manage a key, the Mad Coding Plan puts the AI in the agent for a monthly price. Either way, usage and cost are logged, and the agent spends 65% to 75% fewer tokens, because it assembles screens from ready-made components instead of writing everything from scratch.
Is the generated code really mine? Can I stop using MadBuilder?
Yes. You get a standard Laravel project, with models, migrations, controllers and Blade screens that any Laravel developer can read. Download the ready-to-run ZIP, push to your Git or publish to your own server. The system does not depend on any service of ours to work (the MAD framework, which provides the screen components, ships inside the project), and what you download is exactly what you tested.
Can I host the system on my own server?
Yes, in three ways, all with the same files. You publish over SSH to your server, with an automatic backup before overwriting and a live log. You can push to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. Or you can download the ZIP. The system runs inside your company, behind your firewall and within your compliance rules.
